Dr. Leark received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from United States International University (San Diego, now Alliant International University) in 1982. He then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine.

 

He has maintained research in clinical care of individuals with neurofibromatosis, type 1 (NF1); specifically investing the relationship of attention and concentrations deficits in NF1. He has published research towards the use of ADHD medications within NF1, pediatrics through adults. 

 

He is active in test development and is a co-author of the Pediatric Performance Validity Test Suite (PdPVTS), an instrument designed to measure effort within pediatric psychological & neuropsychological testing. In addition, he has published on test and scale development for tests such as the Test of Variables of Attention (TOVA).

 

He is Professor of Forensic Psychology, Emeritus at Alliant International University, San Diego. 

 

Practice is self-limited to forensic cases; juvenile justice to adult criminal cases, as well as civil (tort) pediatric to adult cases. This includes Franklin hearing case matters.
